20’s is the time where everyone wishes to do everything and anything. But making the right choices in your actions will lead you to the better version of yourself ahead in life. Based on my personal experiences, here are 9 things that most of you will regret after your 20’s if you don’t do.
1. Not starting a business
Every one of us has a great idea which can be converted into a million dollar business.
But we don’t put it into actions because of small short term gains and fear of failure.
So get started, fold on your sleeves and work your butt off to live your dream life.
2. Not completing higher education
It’s a perception that formal education adds no value to our competencies because of less practical exposure.
Maybe because we have many examples of multimillionaire business men and women who are college dropouts.
In fact formal education helps us in many ways in our life. It broadens your mind and assists you to analyse various aspects and have different viewpoints in consideration.
Your education is like a safety net if you opt for business in future.
3. Not traveling much
20-30 is the best time to travel around the places. As it’s the time most of us are physically fit and have less responsibilities.
Traveling gives you lifelong memories, provides real life education and experiences, broadens your mind set, and improves social skills and many many more.
4. Not saving enough money
Generally many of us think we have a lot of time to spend and invest money. But it’s essential to start on saving and investment as it helps us reach our goals faster.
Savings not only support us on stormy days but help to create wealth with right investments and enough time.
Remember Money can get you more money so spend and save wisely.
5. Not expressing your feelings to person you love
Love is the strongest emotion and thus it has an impactful regret, if not expressed at the right time.
In 20’s choose a partner who will live with you till eternity.
So, gain some confidence and him/her out.
6. Not reading books
It is said that you are what you consume. Consumption doesn’t only include nutritional food but it also includes matter you feed to your mind.
Do you know what the common habit of highly successful people is? – Reading.
E.g.- Warren buffet, Bill gates, Elon musk.
Reading gives exposure to places, persons, ideas, thoughts, it also widens your perceptions. Only dogs and books can be human’s best friends and help without expectations.
7. Hobby
People are the luckiest people whose hobbies can be converted to a profession. It is possible only if you continue to do it and master it gradually. Hobbies like gyming, painting, football and many more, keeps you creative as well as fit.
8. Not ready to leave bad habits
Bad habits like smoking, drinking alcohol and drug consumption will take you in the opposite direction of your desired goal and lifestyle. These habits look cool in their 20’s but it has a long term impact on our health and pockets. These habits are also an invitation to many health problems.
9. Not exercising enough
Our physical and mental health is connected and workout enhances both. Workouts help boost your confidence, keep you fit and boost productivity too. During workout, or having chocolate, or having sex our brain releases certain chemicals that are good for our health and keeps us away from depression and heart problems away.
